Khaly's First Entry

Today has been a bit of a bludge. I saw the stage for the first time. The size seems good, cuz it's so big. When I break, I move around a lot – I knock over people, lights, speakers, I kick people. Maybe I'll end up taking too much advantage, maybe I'll end up kicking a fan in the face - one vote gone. Don't want that to happen! The flooring is not what I expected. You spin on your feet for jazz and ballet, but when you spin for breaking it's harder. I still could - if I wanted to lose a patch of hair!
I'm sharing with the beloved Henry. It's quite cool. We live in an environment that suits us best. It wouldn't suit a lot of people, unless you're into a sofa bed pulled half way out, cushions thrown everywhere, Henry's clothes everywhere. The kitchen is out of control! We don't eat vegetables, so the fridge is full of rotting greens. We don't get given Coke or KFC or stuff like that, so we go through thirst and hunger…. The way we live is down the easiest route – McDonalds. Or toast. Or chicken schnitzel. I can cook a hell of an egg!
I don't know why they put me with my dance partner – height, I guess. From what I heard they wanna put people together who are different. Everything is different about our styles - the moves, the counts. The first routine is more her style. I'm lucky, she helps me so much, not just to benefit her but me as well - fix what I need to learn the routine. I'm really happy to be with her. She's a really nice girl. We make a good couple. We're gonna do a good routine.
I haven't thought about people watching the show at all. I'm still struggling over my songs getting approved. So many things to think about. I've been recognized once though, going to get a chicken schnitzel. Usually you get a number and wait, and the lady noticed me and was like,‘Weren't you on TV?', and then she was like, ‘You don't have to wait'. I got mine straight away! Cool! Ha ha ha! But I think if I get too exposed to all that stuff I'll get shy and then I won't be cheeky and then I won't be fun.
The whole idea of the live show is something I'm not familiar with at all. I've done a lotta gigs, but this is so different. 2.2 million people or whatever watching you, and you do good or bad – they know you. If you fall down, they'll replay it over and over and I'll be the guy that slapped my face on the ground. Great, thanks for remembering that!
Fave dance movie: Take the Lead\ Moonwalker\ Electric Boogaloo – they got the bomb styles!
