I auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance because:
Dancing is my one true passion in life. I knew I could exceed in the competition if I put my heart and soul into it.
I first realised I wanted to be a dancer when:
I took dance classes at the age of two, but as I became older, around 11 years old, I realised I wanted to be a professional dancer.
My favourite dance is:
Jazz. There are so many different variations of the term 'Jazz', and I enjoy doing every one of them. With Jazz you can be freer when it comes to your movements, putting whatever feel you want into it.
The choreographer/ dancer/ performer I look up to the most is:
Kelley Abbey. She is soooo versatile with not only choreographing, but also with what she can do. What I also love about Kelley is the way she teaches dances. She doesn't just demonstrate a movement and expect you to learn it, she talks through what each movement means, giving a feeling or motif behind the steps. She is always uplifting, not only as a performer, but as a person.
I believe So You Think You Can Dance is great opportunity for dancers in Australia because:
It is going to give the Australian public an eye for what a lot of us can do. I think dancing is not a very well know art in Australia. I feel like dancers are always just being put behind the singers, where as this show will put the dancers first.
I am looking forward to being a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance because:
The joy of performing to a nation of viewers, but also the learning process ahead. I feel my dancing is going to excel so much, that I'm nervous to know what I'm capable of. I also can't wait to work with great and inspiring choreographers, and to make amazing friends along the way.
The one thing I want Australia to know about me is that I:
I'm very real and very down to earth. I don't like fake people, and I believe that if you work hard, you will succeed.
I think I have the right moves to win So You Think You Can Dance because:
They are unique to my own style, and by using them, people will get a joyful performance.
